Philadelphia Steaks & Hoagies - Camp Hill: Authentic Philly Cheesesteaks & Friendly Service

On a whim stopped in here after getting donuts. On a bigger whim we actually sat and ate here. We were greeted by a gentleman that was very good at customer service, I believe he was the owner. He explained the options of the subs and helped us order. I am usually not a steak sub eater and was going to get a cold sub but decided to try the steak sub. We went with the meal deal of a fountain soda, fries and a small steak sub. Food came out extremely fast as the man relayed the order to the cook and started plating up our trays. We sat down at a table and dug in. He then brought us a cold sub to take home and try! For free! That was awesome. I am a fry person and it can be a thumbs down if a place gives me bad fries. But these fries were awesome! Crinkle cut and golden brown. When you bit into them they had the wonderful crunch all fries should had have. Then the soft inside was steaming hot. They also seemed to last forever, there was a lot in the servings we got. Loved them. The sub though a small was a solid meal. Filled with a mild tasting beef that was sliced just a hair thicker than normal. I got mushrooms and onions on mine. Onions were done just right where the crunch was just cooked out of them. Mushrooms had a great flavor. The gentleman came to our table and asked how things were. I asked him if he cut his own beef and he said yes. That they got the rounds in and it was cut fresh. That’s great that they do that and you can taste it in their meat. Bread held the sun together but wasn’t tuff to chew, had a good fresh flavor. The best thing was the people that came in while we were setting there eating. No one took more than five minutes from start to out the door. A good stream of people came in and all were greeted and treated friendly and with quick service. The inside could probably set a good thirty people at the tables. There were coolers to get bottled drinks and the fountain soda. I must add that I’m not a fan of fountain drinks because I know how dirty they can get and if the mix is off they can taste pretty bad. I had checked the machine out while waiting and it was clean and the taste was perfect. There was also a gentleman sweeping floors as the others worked behind the counter. Being former food service I like seeing the cleanliness. Overall the place was well kept and clean. Bathrooms were clean and the water is hot! That is a great sign of cleanliness also. Loved this place and will be back. I really want to try out the cold subs now since trying the one he gave us. My favorite subs usually come from Jersey Mikes but I think I may have to switch to here. Thank you for a great meal and great service! Sorry didn’t get any photos!

This Philly cheese steak sandwich is the real deal! I'm absolutely obsessed. The staff is super friendly, and the food is mouthwateringly delicious. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves a good cheese steak sandwich!

I was on vacation from Florida and wanted a cheesesteak. My brother who works in the area took me here and I am glad he did. Great cheesesteak and man was i full. I got the small so that tells you they pack that baby well. Ordered mine with wiz,onions, and sweet and hot peppers. I am back in Florida and wish I could have another one. Going to be my go to spot whenever I go back to visit!!!

A friend recommended this place to me. As an avid lover of cheesesteaks I wanted to try it out. I guess I’m used to Chicago style or such cheesesteaks because the cheese whiz threw me for a loop. I told the lady behind the counter that I’m from Texas and wanted to try a good, authentic Philly cheesesteak. She recommended the cheese whiz and sweet peppers (which I subbed for mushrooms because I just don’t care for sweet peppers in general). Her recommendations were PHENOMENAL. Never in a million years would I have thought putting pizza sauce on a cheesesteak would be good…but it was!!! I really appreciated her hospitality in the matter. It’s a hole in the wall, but it’s a tasty place with friendly staff. I can’t wait for another business trip to come here again.

Recently moved to the area and have tried cheesesteaks throughout the area, BUT NOTHING Compares to this guys they are amazing, great people 10/10 customer Service. Haven’t had a cheese steak this good! Definitely will be coming back…. Long lines, don’t worrry it’s worth it!!

Food was good, the place it’s just enough for a quick bite and go… the most impressive thing for me was the GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE everyone is willing to serve you, Poole there deserves a special recognition for the excellent customer service, thanks for the good experience

First time we stopped in and we will be back. Great cheesteak and the owner is the nicest person, he has great customer service. Definitely worth checking out.
